How Do I Find Out What Year and Model Golf Cart I Own?
If we asked you what kind of car you drive, you could probably answer pretty quickly. You know right off the top of your head that you drive a Nissan Altima or a Ford F-150. You probably also know the year, or at least the general vicinity of what year it was made. Even someone who doesn't know much at all about cars knows they purchased their Toyota Camry in 2018.
What if we asked you the same question about your golf cart? Do you know the model and year of your golf cart the way you do with your other vehicles? For many people, this question stumps them. Let's change that right now!
The Right Information for the Right Parts
You see, there are certain times you'll need to know what kind of golf cart you are driving beyond just saying "a red one." This is very important when ordering golf cart parts and accessories both in our Wildar Golf Carts & Trailers, FL store or online. If you need any parts like golf cart battery chargers, battery cables, solenoids, micro switches, FNR switches, windshields, suspension bushings, or anything else, this is vital information to have on hand. Otherwise, you will most likely order the wrong parts and they will not fit your golf cart when you get them home. We don't want that to happen to you, what a hassle!
Begin with the Brand
The brand name of your golf cart will be somewhere on the body. This is where you'll want to start your search for the relevant information, because each brand lists your needed details in a different way. If you own a Club Car Golf Cart, you can find the year and model by locating the white bar coded sticker usually found above the pedal assembly below the steering column area. If you own an E-Z-Go Golf Cart, you can determine the year and model by finding the serial number identification plate usually located in the passenger side glove box area. For those who drive a Yamaha, you can locate the year and model by finding the serial number identification plate. This is usually located under the glove box area, on the driver side. Also, it can be found under the seat towards the floor of the cart or on the golf cart chassis under the rear bumper.
